Christine Quinn: Evals plan “strikes the right balance”

The mayoral candidate’s campaign just sent over this statement:

“As opposed to simply relying on standardized tests as the main measure of teacher performance, the plan laid out by the state will provide multiple measures to fully evaluate teacher performance and provide our educators with the feedback they need to grow, become even better teachers, and enhance the public education we provide kids in New York City. The plan also lays out clear expectations for teacher performance. Evaluations that rely on several observations, student feedback, and other school-based measures selected from both teachers and principals, strikes the right balance.”
