New York City teachers returned to school Tuesday and were busy with meetings and classroom prep ahead of Wednesday’s first day of classes. But many made time to share their excitement about the 2018-19 school year on Twitter, following the lead of Chancellor Richard Carranza.
Here are a few that caught our attention:

Good morning, my people. First day of school and coffee on deck. Morning meetings, but I’d rather be cleaning my classroom.
