CEJ announces $5 million in city funds for parent-teacher talks

The NYC Coalition for Educational Justice secured a $5 million commitment from the city to fund parent-teacher conversations for students scoring a level 1 or 2 on the new, tougher state exams. The money will also go toward more explanatory materials for parents and for additional teacher training. Coalition leaders announced the funding in front of DOE headquarters this morning.
