John Jay students probe Park Slopers about life ambitions

Students from the Secondary School for Journalism, located on the John Jay Campus in Park Slope, produced this video for 50 People One Question, a series that “explores human connections through people and place.” The students asked classmates and passersby on Seventh Avenue in Brooklyn what they had always wanted to do but never done. Some of the answers: fall in love, travel, and defy upbringing.

The project was part of a video production internship program that BRIC, the Brooklyn arts group, runs at John Jay. The campus’s expansion to include a selective high school in 2011 induced some tensions; the BRIC internship included students from multiple schools.
