The city has completed scoring about 99.8 percent of the more than 500,000 Regents exams administered this month, according to Department of Education spokeswoman Connie Pankratz. Next week teachers will grade at least 1,000 more foreign language exams and exams that need to be rescanned due to damaged documents, she said. The department expects to complete scoring by early next week.
It’s not the first time the department said it was nearing completion in an exam scoring process that was drawn out because of problems in the online grading system created by CTB/McGraw-Hill, the testing company. On Monday, the department said all grading would be done by Tuesday. That was already nearly a week after scoring was supposed to be complete.
