Fight over use of schools by religious groups resumes

Tomorrow, the New York City Council Education Committee will be voting on a resolution that urges Albany to allow religious groups to use New York City public school space for worship services. The full City Council is expected to vote on this measure on Wednesday.

Council Member Jessica Lappin, Schools Chancellor Dennis M. Walcott and New York Civil Liberties Union Director Donna Lieberman are holding a press conference to speak out against this resolution.
