National charter school networks stand by NYC charter schools in Oct. 8 march

Families for Excellent Schools sent out a press release today detailing a list of 16 charter networks from across the country who have come out in support of the NYC charter schools who are marching in the Oct. 8 Brooklyn Bridge rally.

Their statement reads: “Like our colleagues in the Big Apple, we understand how important issues like funding and facilities access are to running a great school. We stand with them to ask only for equality: equal funding, equal access to facilities, and equal treatment under the law. We’re inspired by this historic action in support of New York City’s kids, and stand with them as they make their voices heard.”

The charter networks backing the march include:

  • Aspire Public Schools
  • Blackstone Valley Prep
  • Brooke Charter Schools
  • California Charter Schools Association
  • Charter School Growth Fund
  • Gestalt Community Schools
  • Great Hearts Academies
  • Green Dot Public Schools
  • Kipp Foundation
  • National Alliance for Public Charter Schools
  • New Schools Venture Fund
  • Noble Network of Charter Schools
  • Rhode Island Mayoral Academies
  • Rocketship Education
  • Summit Public Schools
  • STRIVE Preparatory Schools
  • YES Prep
