Students of JHS 13 will be treated to a live jazz concert today, sponsored by About the Swing.
About the Swing is a new venture devoted to perpetuating the sound of swing with a series of live jazz performances around the New York metropolitan area. Its goal is to bring the music directly to the public and young people in particular. At a time when many public institutions are cutting back on the arts, About the Swing is filling the void and helping to develop a future generation of jazz musicians and enthusiasts.
