2011 New Schools Development Fair

To meet the Children First goal of providing a high-quality school for every child, Mayor Bloomberg and Chancellor Klein have made new school creation an essential part of New York City’s education reform effort. Since 2002, the New York City Department of Education (DOE) has opened more than 400 new schools, both district and charter, and plans to open dozens more. To take part in this historic transformation, join the DOE at an open house for educators, community leaders, and partner organizations interested in developing new schools starting in September 2011 and beyond.
