The Providence Effect is a very inspiring story about a private school in Chicago that has been sending 100% of its African-American students to college for 30 yrs. The school’s tactics and strategies have been carefully documented by a research report conducted by Michigan State University called, Providence-St. Mel School: How a School That Works for African-American Students Works, which is available on the website The film has been endorsed by top educators across the country.
