Dennis Walcott Meets With 100 NYC School Principals

Deputy Mayor Dennis Walcott will be at Teachers College this Thursday, Feb. 12, from 5-7 p.m., to address about 100 NYC public school principals. Walcott will speak for about 20 minutes about mayoral control of the city schools, the current financial crisis, and what would be on Mayor Bloomberg’s education agenda if he serves a third term. A panel of four NYC principals will respond to Walcott’s address, and then the floor will be open to about 100 principals who are alumni or current participants of Teachers College’s Cahn Fellows program. Mr. Walcott will also take questions from the media.
