Brooklyn Charter School Fair

THE FIRST-EVER BROOKLYN CHARTER SCHOOL FAIR

WHAT:          Representatives from 50 charter schools located in Brooklyn will be on-hand to answer parents’ questions about charter schools; a computer station for submitting applications will be available

WHY: Charter schools will be informing parents and correcting misconceptions about these public school options available to them at the first-ever Brooklyn Charter School Fair taking place on Saturday, March 16.  More than 50 school representatives will be on hand to answer parents’ questions and bring more transparency to the sector. The New York City Charter School Center is hosting the fair.

Charter schools are public schools, free to all New York City students. Parents must submit an application by April 1 and can use the Common Online Charter School Application at www.nyccharterschools.org/apply, which is now available in six languages (English, Spanish, Arabic, French, French Creole and Mandarin). There will be a computer station for parents to access the application at the fair.
